Beryl, 87 enjoyed Barbara’s cooking
Beryl, aged 87, was partially sighted and had difficulty hearing, although she could watch TV close up and play scrabble. She had domestic help but wanted a Homesharer to cook a three course meal every evening. Her apartment was quite large, and had workshop space that was invaluable to her Homesharer, who was studying furniture making at a local college.
Barbara, aged 40, shared with Beryl for nearly 18 months. She needed low cost accommodation whilst studying and decided to Homeshare because she wanted ‘company and conversation’. She was a good cook, and enjoyed preparing and sharing meals with Beryl.
