Homeshare in Redland, Bristol – £200 pcm
We are looking for a calm and approachable woman to share the home of a well‑travelled older woman in her late 80s. She loves reading, classical music and nature. She is a published author who spent many years teaching at universities. She enjoys quiet routines and talking about her travels. Although she’s comfortable spending time alone, she appreciates one‑to‑one conversation and enjoys meals far more when shared.
Her independence is very important to her, and living in her own home remains central to her wellbeing. She prefers calm, quiet company and sometimes struggles with memory due to dementia. Her family is supportive and she has appropriate help in place. They would welcome a Sharer for added peace of mind.
Support would include cooking and sharing meals three times a week and offering gentle companionship. Someone mature, resilient and with a reasonable understanding of dementia would be an excellent fit.
Costs:
- £ 200 monthly fee payable to Homeshare West
- £130 contribution to bills payable monthly to Householder
