Keith, aged 85, wanted peace of mind

Keith, who had Parkinson’s disease, was a very independent and sociable man, but missed having another person in the house and the peace of mind that brought. He also wanted someone who would be able to remind him of appointments and help with picking up prescriptions. He had a beautiful home and garden and offered a double bedroom to the Sharer.

We introduced Adrian, a 65-year-old healthcare professional who was looking for accommodation having sold his own house, but yet to decide where to relocate. They liked each other straight away and lived together for two and a half years until Keith moved into a care home. During that time they forged a good friendship, and stayed in touch after the match ended.
