Homeshare in Cheltenham, GL51 – £200pcm
We are looking for a good‑humoured, patient and sociable person to share the home of a lively, engaging older woman who sometimes feels lonely and would value regular company. She’d love someone who enjoys gardening. A car owner is essential.
She’s an ex‑schoolteacher who lived in France for 25 years and still loves speaking French. She enjoys board games, chess, architecture, flea markets, museums and sports. She’s a natural chatterbox, diplomatic, thoughtful and able to see both sides of an argument, though when something truly annoys her, she can be wonderfully direct. Her garden brings her joy, as does seeing people flourish and succeed. She values kindness, good manners and a world free from racism.
She loves all card and board games, antiques, second‑hand treasure hunting, history, architecture and decorating. Someone with a basic understanding of plants and gardening would be especially appreciated.
Support would include cooking and eating together 2–3 times a week, occasional shopping, companionship, and being around some evenings and weekends. If you can laugh at yourself, enjoy good conversation, appreciate a vibrant garden and perhaps fancy practising your French, this could be for you.
Costs:
- £ 200 monthly fee payable to Homeshare West
- £100 contribution to bills payable monthly to Householder
