Homeshare in Failand, near Bristol BS8 – £200pcm
A mature, friendly and down‑to‑earth person would be welcome to share the home of an engaging older lady in her 80s and her much‑loved, large‑breed dog (a gentle giant adored by the whole village). She’s a woman of Christian faith who loves being outdoors, gardening, walking her dog. She enjoys classic novels and crime fiction and has a rich history of community involvement through singing groups, church choir, the village hall and local horticultural and drama societies.
She’s sociable, enjoys chatting and values being treated with respect. She’s generally self‑sufficient but experiences some short‑term memory loss, so someone with an understanding or experience around this would be helpful. She’d also consider sharing with someone who has an older, calm dog.
Support would include cooking and eating together 2–3 times a week, occasional shopping, companionship, and being around some evenings and weekends. Light help with simple tech would be appreciated. Because of the rural location, a car owner is essential.
